Hi guys! Below is the grading rubric for your Sports Medicine I presentations. Let me know if you have any questions. I will be passing this sheet out in class as well. 

Presentation days will be December 5th -16th. You will be recieving your assigned date on Wedneday.


Sports Medicine I
Student Presentation Grading Rubric

-Power point presentation or poster
-6-8 minutes on your assigned topic
-Provide a script or notes to the teacher
-Presentation and document must be free of spelling and grammatical errors
-At least5 3 web and 2 journal/book references
-At least 4 pictures included in presentation

Content required in presentation:
-Definition and introduction of injury or illness
-Symptoms
-Causes
-Risk Factors
-Tests and Diagnosis
-Define at least 4 healthcare providers involved in care
-Treatment/Recovery

-Prognosis and Prevention

You have all made it through your first quiz! Congrats! Many of you are already signing up for observation hours which is fabulous!

Monday you will get your quizzes back, we will go over them, and then move on to our 1st Aid/Emergency Care unit.

Reminder for 6th period: Your HIPAA Paper is due MONDAY, SEPT 19th!!! Below are the requirements for your paper:

You will write a 2-3pg, double spaced, Arial 10 font paper on HIPAA. The paper must be printed and turned in at the beginning of the class period.

Please include the following in your paper:

-What is HIPAA
-What is the major rule/law associated with HIPAA
-Why is HIPAA important
-Who does HIPAA apply to
-What could the consequences be for violating HIPAA
-How does HIPAA apply to your Sports Medicine Class

-What are 3 personal insights, questions, or opinions you have about HIPAA
